Rusty came to us in November of 2009 at the age of one year with his brother Amos. They were underweight, scared and had never lived inside a house. We fostered both dogs. Amos was soon adopted, and we adopted Rusty.

Rusty loves to “roo” and show off his toys. He loves belly rubs. But his favorite activity is chasing butterflies and roadrunners in the backyard.
In 2016, Rusty had cancer and needed to have his hind leg amputated. Rusty has so much spunk and heart! This did not stop him, and he continues to run like Secretariat! He shares his home with an English Setter, Sophia, and a cat, Boots. He has brought so much love to our family.
